Default 2004 RSX-S Bose Stereo Questions

I have a 2004 RSX-S with the Bose 6-CD changer: sounds decent, but needs a real sub. I happen to have an Alpine MRD-1000 amp, but it only has line-level (RCA) inputs. Before I tear into my dash, can anyone tell me if the stock stereo has RCA outputs? Is there a pre-out and in?

Also, is there an easy/clean way to run 4gauge power and RCA back to the trunk? This is a new car for me, and I haven't had a chance to trace the Bose sub back to the head...

Appreciate any information!

Grash

Well i have a base, but running the wires to back end would be the same. Both my power and rca wires are goin under the carpet under the pedals (obvioulsy driver side). I took up the base board (the one that says "rsx" on it under the door). Ran the wires under there and worked my way up. Near the rear seat just try to pull the carpet out and shove the wires under there, they will then run along the side of the seat and come out behind the seat in the back. I know it may sound ghetto the way i just described it but it turned out very clean i have no wires visible except in the rear where they actually come out from behind the seat. Sorry i have no pics but i hope this helps.

The bose sub already has line-level inputs and antenna-on going to it. All you need to run is some real power wire and all of the connections are already back there.

Just splice off of those and hook up whatever you want.

I've been reading a lot of posts on this... one thing that's never been clear is which wires are which. I have two large wires (black, white) which I assume are power, and two smaller wires (light green, green/white). These smaller wires must be the line-level inputs, or at least one of them is, and the other is the antenna-on or power-up for the amp. I'm good with a soldering iron or splice- just need to verify which wire is which!

Thanks!

White = rear stereo amp relay (power when radio is on)
Black = Ground
Lt Grn = Bass +
Grn/Wht = Bass -

(from the service manual pg 22-110.)

tell you what though, you'll get a better audio signal by taking the Bose woofer apart and connecting to the signal wires on the back of the 6" speaker in there. then use a line-to-RCA converter to your amp.

I added a 10" 250W subwoofer this way and it makes a world of difference with the crap Bose system (Blatantly Overrated Stereo Equipment)

A long read, but worth it if you have an 02 RSX-S.
