Default JDM Airbag tray...Need installation help.

Hi, My friend and I have been attempting to install his JDM airbag block off tray for the past couple hours. We cant figure out how any of this stuff comes off. Has anyone done this? Can anyone help me and my friend out?

Some info..It's a 1996 DX civic Coupe 5spd. We know about disconnecting the battery and everything, we arent trying to get or heads smashed in by a misfiring airbag or anything. For we found the clip that powers the passenger airbag and we cant unclip it for the life of us. Other than that, we are having some serious difficulty getting the cover off the airbag compartment.

Any and all help will be appreciated. Theres no need to get into the legal mumbo-jumo of this procedure, he knows, and i've told him many times....he still wants the JDM tray. ...anyways, any and all help will be appreciated, thanks for lookin guys.
