Water in my tail lights
Help guys... i dont know how it got in there... its always on the right one... i thought it was the taillight itself, so i bought a new set... only to get water in that one too... hummm... I am missing a bolt for the tails on each side, but still, only the right one will get water in... what do u think? how do i get rid of the water??
I had condensation forming in one of my lights too, they're alteezas so it was kinda hard to dry up the water, I ended up drilling a couple holes on the side where it's not all obvious and used a blow dryer. After I dried it up i sealed it up and put it back on. I think the reason I got the water in there was because the gasket thing that goes on the back of the tail light wasn't on right. When I put it back on I just made sure it was on right and it never happened again.
Yep - had that prob. too. Ended up getting water in my trunk. Well took out the lights and drilled small holes in the black plastic molding at the lowest pts. between each divider(not the light housing itself) and that allowed them to drain when it rains, or snows.
drill holes??? you dont need to do that... if your lucky, in the summer time, they should evaporate easily. Plus, honda already made a "evaporation hole," there is a very small screw on the outer edge of the taillight, unscrew it and there it goes! look for it next time you take your tails off...
