The most important thing is: will this camshaft run reliably in my motor without breaking, or damaging valvetrain components.
Next most important is profile.
Brand = SFA -- the cam has to perform.

dyno comparison with other camshafts. if it can beat the competition then some people will consider it but it would have to be from an independent company to test them maybe put them in the titan great cam test before its too late im not sure if its too late yet.
The correct profile is of course a must but at the sametime.
I would choose toda becasue they work very closely with honda factory and Mugen
Or jun casue it's a factory cam core
Reliability is huge and probably the second most important.
If the profile and quality are there the name deosn't specifically matter too me

Most people if they are smart will choose a profile based on the advice of their engine builder/tuner. This is how I would pick a profile.
To me though the most important thing is quality. I don't care if it makes a lot of hp if I have to worry it will break and damage my expensive motor.

Well, do you want a quality camshaft that only makes 3 whp? Or a quality camshaft that make 15whp?
To me, I wont buy a camshaft unless its going to make power and wont break. It has to meat both. What good is a quality camshaft if its not going to make power???

1) Profile (power output)
2) Quality (it's gotta last on the street)
3) Price (most of us can't afford 4 figure camshafts)
All in All : The Most Bang for the Buck!

Why would I buy a cam that's gonna break and not make power?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Not break but wear on the cam lobe after 40k or so. Had to swap some OEM cams back to a customer motor this weekend. Will take some pics here shortly. (well, maybe since this camshaft is hype on here)
Quality is what alot of people don't care about! Alot of people just want HP and dyno sheets.

#1 I look at the profile to see if it will work for the motor I am building. #2 I look at reliability. If there is a question about reliability I won't run the cam, even if the profile is perfect. Brand name means little.

Please do, Bert. What cam, or can you say?

Of course, quality and design. Also we like cams that actually test their own cams and release technical and manufacturing info. no one likes it when a cam company knows nothing about cams and just makes some stages and calls it a day.
