Default Turbo ITR times from friday

posted this is the drag forum and got a few replys about how to improve but forgot to post it here....give me some feed back guys

here is my set up first:
Greddy 18G and big FMIC
2.5"DP to 3" thermal exhaust
Profec-B
AFC
FMU
450cc injectors
255lph pump
missing link
inline pro head gasket and block guard
90k miles stock block with 93/114 octane mix@1.1bar
225/50/15 BFG DR's
this is at full weight with 3/4 tank of gas and ac and PS on the factory pulleys

RT: .756
60ft: 2.173
330: 5.678
1/8: 8.469
mph: 86.05
1000: 10.857
1/4: 12.863
mph: 112.95

I have to run to work but that was the best slip. all the rest we high 12's to low/mid 13's tire presure was pretty high on all the runs I just lowered it a little each pass. best pass it was about 23psi in the tires. all in all I am happy with the times and hope that I have a chance to better them before the year is out. anyone with opinions on how to better the times let me know

on a side note jay from hybridynamics(NekkidR's shop) did a 10.90@127mph on ET streets in his 240SX. cams are really the only internal mod on the car too. bottom end is bone stock.

You know i ran the 18g kit too and people highly underestimate it....it makes decent power as you have surely shown. I was happy with the kit, but if its not full-race yO wont get madd props

You guys forget that with that size turbo and spool time, it's perfect for 1/4 runs. It's not that the turbo is capable, it's the fact that you can use most of the power produced. Traction is key.

how is that turbo ultimate 1/4mile? you say traction is key, but on a smaller turbo full boost quicker equals smoking the tires quicker. but it doesnt have the break loose in gears like a big turbo does.

anyway , i think considering the set up the times are pretty decent.
run lower pressure in those tires. they will hook better.

Well, the main reason I said that is because of the linear power band on that turbo. That turbo wouldn't fare up against yours on the top end.

it always amazes me when i see people, especially Type R owners risking their motors with an AFC as fuel contorl, and no timing adjustments whatsoever.

Give me your hondata program.

I have an almost identical setup.....

To the original poster, how much whp are you actually making? Post a dyno plot and tire selection - that would be interesting to compare. Also, what was your race weight?

Nice numbers Sam. I am sure with a little better tuning you could easily make some low 12 passes.
