i want to know which one of the 2 motors would handle 15psi or higher better (of course with internal work done to it) Thanks
15 psi? You got to tell us what size turbo you will be using and not basing it off psi because quite frankly a T3 at 15 psi is nothing compared to a SC31 at the same boost levels.
The GSR block is stronger and has those oil jets, too. It also has the full girdle and is more balanced for less vibration (which is hard on motors, really).
For me i think LS VTEC is good for all motor but not turbo, because a lot of the people that i know that build LS VTEC has really high compression, and along with the turbo if it is not set up right will give the motor too much compression and will blow the motor. But right now my friend from INJEN has a GSR with a custom T88 turbo on his GSR motor, Ran over 200 dyno tests and still running strong. So i would say GSR
What are you guys telling this kid or grown man. I have a 1.9 ls vtec turbo right now. Running better than any motor swap I ever had. I plan to run around 15-17psi this weekend once I get it tuned. I am shooting for 400whp. Anyone of those setups will be good with boost. If done right it will last.
There was a guy here who had ls/vtec turbo in a crx w/ 690 whp at 32lbs of boost. He did a lil run on the street by himself. All I can say
