reinstalling timing belt Q?
in order to reinstall the timing belt onto the cam gears i need to remove the crank pulley correct (i only slipped the timing belt off the cam gears to remove the head)? is the only way the way it says in the helms?
b/c i need to adj the timeing belt tensor.
so i need to get that big 50mm hex pulley holder tool, right, that seems like it would be the best/easiest way?
i search a lil and found sum info but need a lil more detailed info.

You should be able to get it on if you loosen the tensioner pulley. After you get it onto the cam gears (make sure the crank pulley and cam gears are all lined up correctly), then tension the belt as indicated in the Helm's manual.

Actually there is a hole in the lower plastic cover allowing access to the tensioner pulley bolt. Loosen that, slip the belt on (again double and triple check to make sure everything is still lined up) and then tighten the bolt, then follow the specified tensioning procedure.
aight cool thanks, i'll try it out tomarow after school.
so as long as the crank is at tdc and the cams are at tdc (held by the 5mm pin punch)i can release tension on the timing belt and move it into place, corect?

i put it on tdc but when ever i try to get the timing belt on the cam gears the cranpulley moves off tdc...
