Default ITR CAMS Practical Set up Question

Hi, I've gone over extensive sites/forums/searches regarding ITR camshafts and compatible/power producing header setups.

Current 1996 Gs-r : Everything stock but my injen rd1450 cai

Which year ITR cams will fit my vehicle? Does anyone with the same year integra have experience on the best ITR year cams?

I'm unfortunately, most likely going to purchase DC Sports headers. Why? Being in California, you have to worry more about the cops than your performance upgrades. Even if my car doesn't pass smog, the Carb exempt. sticker will help a tremendous amounts and save me from hassle(s). (Cops/Refs can only run a visual of your engine bay... they see only superficial mods and nothing underneath
Probably 4-2-1 2 piece stainless steel (ceramic cracks... from what I've searched)

So, can anyone point me to the right direction for the best year ITR cams to put in my vehicle? I haven't searched for specific lift/duration specs on each cam yet. My engine does have 117k+ miles, but is running very well. (No CR test or anything to back up my claim) Thanks for the help in advance.

ITR cams should work fine if you're not revving past stock redline, from what I've heared. As for the header, Comptech makes a CARB legal header, which is more expensive but also out-performs the DC. Another opiton is the JDM ITR header, which looks stock with the heatshield on, but requires some slight b-pipe modification to fit in certain cases. Hope this helps

I think any ITR cam is fine. I hear the 00-01 cams are a little more aggressive. Both will move the torque peak to a little over 7000, resulting in a meatier powerband up top.

I wouldn't go with DC, that stuff is junk in comparison to Comptech. You can find used Comptech headers on ebay occasionally. All of Comptech's stuff is top-grade. DC's isn't. The JDM ITR header is a good idea...it'll look completely stock.

I have a friend with a 96 GSR like mine but he ran with '00 ITR Cams and it wasn't that great of an improvement. Than he got some Skunk2 Stage II cams and dominated. For only a couple hundred more you can see a significant difference to a minimal difference. Your choice, your budget, your car!!!!
