I finally got my car back from the shop after 5 months! I have the JDM h22a installed and the rev hard turbo kit. I was driving it home, and every time i slow down to the point where the car starts idling...it will stall out. There is oil vaporing out of the little breather on the head and it smells. When i rev it past like 4k rpm it will smell heavily. I disconected the 2nd fuel pump because it wouldnt shut off for some reason...there is less backfiring now but there is still some backfiring. When i put it in 3rd 4th and 5th and press the gas pedal halfway or more...the car pulsates and feels like its choking. Any help or ideas as to what might be wrong? I really appreciate it. Thanks

 

What engine management are you running?

sounds like you need to be tuned.

 

I'm not a tech or anything but as far as what I can read I'll post this opinion. Your car was probably backfiring at the time due to too much fuel and not enough air, now it's probably choking because it's not getting enough fuel. That's just my best guess, however I"m not a mechanic. Maybe try using 91 octane fuel or octane booster, what all was done to the car with the turbo kit did you modify the ecu with it? Are you using check valves to prevent your ecu from seeing boost?
