to low 4 civic ? ? ?
i installed the omni-power coilover suspention on my 98 civic, and its low, the wheels just clear the whells, i've bottomed out a few times but no problems realy until yesterday. i guess the times of bottoming out scraped away the wheel well in the low hanging spot and now there is a sharp piece of metal hanging down exposed the the wheel when it tucks up. every time i bottom out the wheel travels up and hits the metal piece and it takes a slice of tire away.
my question is, can i bend this thin piece of metal so its not facing down
(i havent been able to investigate what it is exactly yet but im pretty sure its part of the frame)
or just how should i solve the problem, it wont be hard 2 get a new wheel well but if its just gonna happen again i would rather solve this problem
ill have pictures on here soon

if i wanted to raise the car i would have. im asking for help on how to fix the problem not avoid it all togeather, even if i raise the car now since i have no plastic protecting the metal i will still have the problem even raised, and i dont want a huge wheel gap, i would have to raise it about 1 1/2" to get it to an acceptiable hight and thats not something im willing to do since ill wory about hitting it all the time anyway
jack it up take the wheel off. take a hammer or something and cut all the metal shards that are pointing out.... make sure it isnt so low that the wheel will rub on the fender when you turn....
but i mean it isnt that hard, it is pretty self explanitory

how low is the car now? pic? if ur so low ur taking off pieces of tire, i would suggest raising it! when ur car is too low u lose handling because ur camber is so bad!
Try bending it back but just be careful, last thing you need is to be on a trip somewhere and blow out a tire. Maybe you should consider changing your suspension setup.
cut it, i cut my boys on his 97 ex, i dont think EG's have that metal but i know what your talking about it two peice of metal tack welded i cuti t like 6 months ago and no problems since make sure you cut it smooth and for some reason it was only his driver side doing it and we had jus put new struts in so i know it wasnt because of that
yea i bent in my fenders front and back and i hardly have room between my wheel and my car i dont scrape too much though i dont let people ride in the back of my car though.. i was wonder if i get some kyb struts will it help me out at all. i know someone who wholesales them so i may be able to get a good *** deal on em.
i live in NJ, knowing how to dirve means nothing here. knowing what roads to avoid is just trial and error..
ill have pics 2day, but i think ive solved the problem, i hammered the metal and replaced the well flashing, but just yesterday my g/f ruined the other side so 2day im gonna go order the other flashing and hammer the other side
