Do D15 and D16 axles interchange?

Default Do D15 and D16 axles interchange?
Or more simply put.....will the axles from a CRX Si fit onto a D15 motor? (not the car....this isnt going into a car )

Axles dont go into the engine...

Axles go into the tranny...DX & SI are interchangable as far as i know...

I believe the hub ends are different( no. of splines possibly ), I do not know about the transmission ends.

The axles change over but I know the 88 (and maybe 89) dx have different # of teeth on the spline. So I can pretty much guarrantee that the 90-91 dx, 88-91 si, hf and others are the same.

89-90-91 are all interchangeable, but like you said, 88 has different number of teeth so it won't fit

I hear CRX hf's and CIVIC std's had different # of splines on the hub.
