I had some problems every now and again but it would always shift eventually. Now it doesn't seem like it's ever going to get out of park. It starts fine and everything seems to be normal. It didn't look like my brake lights were coming on, tough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Alright, I did a search on this site and figured out the problem. I need a little help with the visual of the shift lock on the brake. That would probably be more helpful than anything.

 

not sure about 98s but im pretty sure the shift lock is just a key hole on the center console by the shifter.. just put the key in and press down

 

You might have to take off the bezel around the shift lever to find it. But I'm pretty sure it's shown in the owner's manual.
