Default Project CRX shakedown

After months of work and many receipts later my project first gen CRX is finally making some tangible progress. Having all the basic safety equipment and "must haves" completed I took the car out to a autocross for a little shake down.

The car simply blew me away it it's unrelenting grip and surprising lack of push. The only major let down is that the motor was a constant reminder that this isn't a vtec b-series.

235/45/13 tires
somewhere under 2000lb
something under 90hp

Thankfully we did the shake down at the autocross as we discovered the car has a little overheating problem which would have put an end to a track session. I suspect simple maintenance should take care of the problem as this car has been neglected for many many years.

The car will see it's first "official" track day at Infineon on September 12.

Looks good! Seems to be coming along well.

We need more H5 cars, even though you are on the West Coast!

Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of work/mods have you done to it?

Nice work so far!!!! You should be able to get over 100hp easily.

What all is done, btw? Sounds like mostly susp work.

I would suggest a new 2 core radiator and ditch the cooling fan. This is the setup I run in my ITC CRX Dx and have never had cooling problems. Just do not let it idle in the pits for too long.
