OK before i post this, i just want you to know my situation. I currently own a 2002si and am thinking about starting a project. That being said:

I have an opportunity to buy a 88 CRX si for 250 bucks. However it needs ALOT! :

Motor and trans
ECU(dunno if it needs wiring)
seats
carpet
all interior parts
brakes(pads and rotors), and all hardware
headlights
windshield


...basically everything, but the body is in good condition(i would say 6 out of 10 with NO RUST )

BUT not only is it my true love(sorry but the 88CRX will always outweigh my love for the EP), but the 1988 CRXsi is one of the rarest CRX's ever

What would you do if you had a chance to pick this up? I want serious opinions. NOt just yes or no. Just try and think of all the time that will be needed. Keep in mind i have a full-time job.

buy the car, i have an 88 crx si with a b16 swap and its the best car i ever had it looks like **** but it rides out if you dont wont to buy the crx tell me and ill go pick it up to build a full blown race car out of it

 

well u can turn it into ur race car basically gutted interior, just put a nice seat or two in there, get a swap. this is IF u have the right funds and time
and a place to do/keep all this

 

depends on if you have the money. and what you are going to do with it. you can use it as a race car. just buy the stuff you need.

ps. i didnt know that the 88 crxsi was rare. i had a y49 88 si. humph

 

well the reason why (i think) they are rare is because it was the only year they made the seatbelts in the frame, and the rear suspension setup is different.
