mods for a 84 crx?
I always wondered if the 86-89 teg swap would work in a carb'd car, if you carb'd the teg engine........That could be interesting with som Mikunis, or maybe Webber makes a set-up that would work.
Oh well, just thought it would be good to play with.
He could always do a b-series swap using Hasport mounts, but it would be a lot of work, including changing it over to fuel injection.

DC makes a header for that engine. Eibach makes springs for the rear, you can go with aftermarket torsion bars up front (Lightspeed) or you can use 1st intergra torsion bars (stiffens the front). That engine responds really well to Webers, if you don't mind fiddling with carbs, don't expect gas mileage to be great however. Can upgrade the front brakes to 4th gen civic/2nd gen crx. The whole rear (axle and discs)off a 1st gen integra bolts up (need the proportioning valve and e-brake cables as well). 1st gen integra 1.6 dohc motor bolts straight in (can either leave it carbed or go to fuel injection, obviously wiring is a bit of an issue).
These are great lightweight cars and can be very quick, expecially in autox. Contrary to popular belief there are lots of mods you can still do to this cars, parts are just a little harder to find. Hope that helps....

I think the '84-'87 Civic Wagon torsion bars are stiffer than the Integra. If it's the 1.3 liter, I would definitely do an engine swap.
