Looks good to me. I like what you did in the low to mid range.

Are you running a stock exhuast? Powersteering?

What did Technodyne charge you? Did you check theA/F Ratio as well?

Eh? SAE vs. STD?

I don't really care; I paid $125 for an hour of tunning and dyno. guessing they checked the A/F; I have a V-AFC doesn't that do it? Not sure. I just took it in and told them to make it fast ;-)

Very nice, did you change the VTEC x-over to get the gain you have in the mid-range?

Thats a pretty decent price if they were the ones that tuned it.
I paid $100 for 1.5 hours at Street Flight, but I did my own S-AFC and cam gear tuning.

As for STD vs SAE...theres a adifferance...as well as the Smoothing the Winpep software was set at.

Example:

SAE HP: 170.8
SAE TQ: 143.7

(Smoothing Level 1)
STD HP: 173.1
STD TQ: 145.6

(Smoothing Level 5)
STD HP: 174.7
STD TQ: 145.3

Ah, I see what you are saying.

Well, for me the numbers don't matter. I am not really shooting for a goal. I just wanted it tunned up, etc.

He said at 7000+ RPM my exhaust was huge plumes of black smoke so he said he fixed that and leaned it out.

VTEC crossover is not as dramatic at all anymore; I barely feel it, probably because he smoothed it out.

I think you just sold me on getting a VAFC.

ITR-Animal, my entire exhaust system is stock except for the header and the carsound catalytic converter. I honestly feel that an exhaust would not do much, except for decreasing back pressure.

Sorry to say, but I think that is my last engine mod. I don't want to do much more to the car because I think the current setup gives me good power, but at the same time a reliable car. The only thing I am going to change is that over the summer I will buy a really nice header (probably custom made) to really exploit top end power. Other than that I think I am done.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys!

Looks to me like his old crossover was slightly past 5500..and his new one is around 5250.

who cares about STD vs. SAE?? Just look at the power he picked up, not the peak HP (the difference between the lines).

VTEC crossover is at 5200 according to the dyno place (need to look at the V-AFC to verify). Like I said, I can barely feel it now.

In terms of the smoothness of the graph, I think HX_Guy eluded to the fact that some smoothing was done on the graph itself. I guess it really all depends on how many data points the dyno actually took. I really wish they had given me a file with the points.

It's ok. Haha, anyway it looks really good Chris, nice smooth curve with very reasonable numbers. Also, you didn't waste a ton of $$ on dyno time, nice and simple. What's this I'm done w/mods bs, you better be getting more than a header next summer.

if he used sae method he would have a peak of 169 whp instead of 174. on my standard dyno i got 170 whp with just a aem intake, when i compared it to sae i lost about 4-5 whp.
