I was only asking because, alot of people mistake the K20a4 with the k24.

I believe the max you can go is 91mm with any K series.

Why the head conversion?
And if it was me, I'd swap the k24 head for k20a1.

Taking a K24 block out 3mm to 91mm could be a little dangerous. What ever you do, you will need custom pistons. K20A2 is the hi-performance head and is the only one to use.

You are confused. a1 cams suck. flow/vtc is not as good either.

I would destroke it - piston speeds are already rediculously high on k24 blocks...tend to kill power after 7500 rpm anyways

i think stroke on the k24s is 99mm to begin with (R/S ratio is )

EDIT - I do agree with sleeving it - especially if you are going with a 91mm bore

Did you realize that that the K24 has the same r/s ratio as the b18A? It is 1.54 to 1.
The GSR is only 1.58 so pretty darn close. We are developing a 95mm crank for that motor, however, for those that want to destroke it.

yeah, i don't think that the problem is so much the r/s ratio as it is the (longer) distance of the rotational mass from the crank centerline; vibration and harmonics might be harsh at higher rpm.

good deal on the 95mm crank development.

Well I know Skunk2 does need to inspect their rod bearings after each event due to the stroke. I don't know the specs of their motor though. They may have stroked it even more.

yea i plan on sleevin it if i do go with the k24 bottom end and yes i thought about destroking it because of the torque because that is my main purpose is to get the power to the ground id like to have some big numbers but id rather have decent numbers that put the power to the ground instead of spinnin or wheel hoppin

full race: 90.5
