What up all

Hey I was just leaving work to head for lunch and noticed a very strange noise that happened while in reverse....... as i was backing up and bout to change gears to first, this loud whining sound (almost as loud as a horn) happened. Once i got into first gear it went away..however when i was leaving my place after lunch, it happened again. Only this time it was louder and sound continued as i was driving in first gear. I have nooooooo clue as to wtf that was all about... but i wanted to see if anyone else might know. I can't verify for sure where exactly the sound was coming from. It was sooo overwhelming and happened soo suddenly that i couldn't pin point the noise location. But it happened after i backed up and as i said, was worse the second time. any thoughts on this weird ****??? any help or thoughts much appreciated...

Brake pad wear indicators? They can make some pretty strange sounds for a couple weeks. Then they'll go into their normal fingers-on-a-chalkboard screetching when you brake. My rear ones made a real nice, almost musical tone; only in reverse, only when I was NOT applying the brakes.

i've experienced something "similar" to this.
a while i ago when i first got my car, reversing, i can hear a loud(sorta) like a "honk" (horn) sound coming from the back trunk lol. BUT that was when i apply on the brakes only.
after changing the pads on the rear brakes, never heard of it again.

 

def a thought, i'll ck the rear brakes...it was the weirdest **** ever..it hasn't done it since i posted yd..but i'll be sure to ck those rear brakes... i replaced my front pads not too long ago so i know it's not them. it was def weird tho. i hate when gay **** like this happens.

 

my dad had a similar thing going on, he needed new brake pads, check brakes.
