Default Need some help

I have a 97 accord v6. Just recently the car has been whacko. When the car is cool (ie first started, at night) the car runs fine. But when its hot, the RPM guage would start to go up and down like crazy. It would bounce, die down to 0 and then bounce. Then the car would stutter and jerk.

Now i took this to a mechanic, and he said it was the distributor. So i paid, he swapped. It ran fine for like 1 week then the engine light went on again and it started all over. Took it back to him, he didnt seem to know whats really wrong w/ it. Then he suggested it was the sensor or something. He didnt have it, so i took my car back.

Anybody have any idea whats wrong w/ my car? Any help is appreciated.

a bouncing idle can be anything from a vacuum leak to a bad sensor (TPS, coolant temp sensor, or your fast idle valve is shot). You need to take it to a reputable shop that will fix the problem the 1st time instead of throwing parts at it like crazy.
