do i have bent valves or is the shop tryin to get money from me?
ok i took my car for a leak down test so i was leaking everywhere now shop says i have bent valves but yet when it starts there is no odd noise from the head they want to charge me 150 to take off the head to inspect i said i would do it my self they said to take my car do it and bring it baack they wont let me do it there thing is the shop is like 30 miles from my house i got it towed i thinke they just want some more money i think its rings thing is i just took it to get my vafc tunned

what percentage was the leakdown? you said air is coming out of the tb possibly intake valves?

they said it was supose to be 100% it was at 83 81 79 89 thats each cyl.
doing a compression test is not always guaranteed to tell you if you have bent valves.
i ran 210's across the board, then took my head off and i had 7 bent exhaust valves

Simple way to check for bent valves. Poor water into the ports when the head is on it's side. If water poors out of the valves there is your bent valve. Nice and easy
newupdate i told the shop to take out my spark plugs and put new onescuz they didnt pay attention the first time when i told them they were fouled so they tunned it dynoed it 180hp not what i was expecting with 12:5:1 pistons cometic head gasket stage 3 crower cams rev valve tarain was expecting around 220 but i still could have bad rings shop said they thought had stock cams maybe that had an effect they told me to drive it around and theyll retune it
What type of dyno were those numbers produced on? What type of fuel used? What type of management used for tuning?
dyno i dont know its a import shop that specilizee in hondas if that helps

dude no shop is going to let you work on your car on their facilities.
there are liability concerns incase you get hurt,
and not to mention they payed all that money for those facilities.. why would they let you use em just so you can get out of paying them??
