94-97 integra gsr vs 00+ celica gts?
Stock, the GTS will take the GSR unless the GTS is an auto. They're lighter (2500lbs or so), have more power (180HP), and I believe their tranny's have tighter gears. So if you're both at a similar skills level, the GTS will win.
it depends on what year the celica is, because i believe the redline is higher on the '00 and '01 cars. a gsr has a better power band though, and the celica will fall out of vvti between shifts. but you can never tell by bench racing, so i guess you'll just have to hit the dragstrip
I have raced one from a dead stop till the top of 3rd in my 4dr GSR. All I had at the time was a short ram intake and Apexi WS catback. Perfect maintence. I won by half a car.
From what I could see/hear he had a LOUD N1 style exhaust and intake. Definatly a manual transmission as well. Don't they have 6spd?

true, the GT-S has higher peak horsepower, but upon closer inspection of its stats:
Horsepower : 180hp @ 7600 rpm
Torque : 130 lb-ft @ 6800 rpm
Redline : 7800 rpm
you'll see that it only reaches that amount for 200 rpm, cuz it only redlines at 7800 rpm.
The integra, on the other hand, seems to have a much more wider power band, keeping its peak for nearly 600 rpm:
Horsepower : 170 hp @ 7600 rpm
Torque : 128 lb-ft @ 6200 rpm
Redline: 8200 rpm
GTS, though, is still lighter by like 100 lbs. I'm by no means an expert in the Celica, nor am i an expert in anything
, but just by looking at the stats, it does seem it's in the GSR's favor if both drivers are equally skilled.

of course the gts will win
1 it has more power through out the power bad
2 its about 100 lbs lighter
3 it has a 6 speed which mean it has small gears
these 3 facts means that its a faster car tha a gsr. nuff said
and by no mean i'm a celica fan

stock vs stock i think the celica will outperform the gsr int he quarter mile , i think its more comparable to a integra type-r
this race will true be on the driver, i took my friend with the 03 gts to the track and i got my 4dr gsr to the track, i pulled better times then him all day long. But i dont think he's up there with ihs driving skills yet because he's alwayz asking me how to launch and ****, but yah it'll be a driver's race not a car race. But due to the powerband, gsr has a way better powerband then gts, because of the way the vvti is design, it dont hit till the last couple of rev b4 redline **** sux, and it's true that everytime you shift you'll fall out of lift in gts, it might of shorter gears but it dont have short enough gears to land back on lift, unless you power shift or somethin and a exremely good driver.
i raced some dorky *** guy with a red gts, on a 25 roll i believe, he won by a car and half, mine is stock and so was his, but i didnt have 2 other people in the car with me and he didnt. this was a like 3 weeks ago
i test drove a 00 gts with exhaust and got on it and my gsr stock was faster for sure, way better top end accelleration. and my gsr with just bolt ons took an 01 gts with the same mods by 2 cars. i guess it depends on the driver but i like the way my vtec feels alot better than vvti
