I own a 1987 crx si 5spd and the car has been running great until recently. Just a few days ago I tried to leave from work and the car wouldn't turn over. I got a jump thinking that my battery was dead and the car started up fine. When I started driving I noticed that when my car's rpm's drop below 2500 the rpm gauge starts bouncing severely and the porogrammed fuel injection light comes on. In addition when the car is in idle it seems like the car wants to die. The headlights dim and get bright again and the rpm's of the actual car fluctuate. Currently the car will not start on its own unless jumped or compression started. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

you might want to check your grounds but besides that there is a little wire just off of the hot main wire coming off your batt. mine started acting up like that too and the wire was just loose... it controls all of the acc. power and somewhat has a factor on the running quality also.
