What's the chassis code/designation for the 91 accord???

 

CB= 4th gen

CD= 5th gen with the i-4

 

But looking through a catalog (Tuning Zubehor for european honda parts...) i saw in the Momo steering hub section that there's CA4, CA5, CB3, CB7, CC7.........which one is the 91? Sorry for the newbie questions, I was never really interested in fixing this car up until now.

 

ALL 90-93 Accords are CB*

 

Then what's the purpose of the numbers after the "CB"???

 

That designates the body style. CB7 is the coupe I think. I guess CB3 would be the sedan? Yup, I don't know the chassis code of my own car!

Well, it amazes me I know the engine code! F22A........wow......i know it! HAHAHA

 

From the shop manual:

CB7 = 2 door/4 door
CB9 = 5 door (wagon)

and the following digit:
1: 2 door, 5-speed
2: 2-door, auto
5: 4-door, 5-speed
6: 4-door, auto
7: wagon, 5-speed
8: wagon, auto

next digit after that:
4: DX
5: LX
7: EX
the last digit is the check digit

For example, my Accord is CB7172 (taken from the VIN)
CB7 = 2 or 4 door
1 = 2 door, 5-speed
7 = EX
2 = check digit.

Ok, Mine's CB7663..........isn't the "EX" going to be a "6", not a "7" and what's the check digit of "3" mean?

Well, what I posted is directly out of the 1992 Honda Accord Service Manual, page 1-2, so I'm not sure what to tell ya. My EX has a "7" as the third digit (CB7172). Your's isn't Canadian or anything is it?
