pop/click in turns only when in gear----any ideas
My 88 crx si is making kind of a popping noise when I turn. It used to only do it when I turn left, but it's starting to do it when I turn right now too. It only does it when it's in gear and accelerating(even if it's small amount). I took it to a friend at a shop, he put it on a lift and didn't see anything wrong with the cv boots and didn't know what was causing it(though I can say his lack of concern might have helped that conclusion). He said that maybe it's the differential. Any ideas or similar situations out there?
Ok, now that I'm back to that idea, any ideas as to what to look for when I buy(brands, performance specs, etc..)? Thanks for the ideas.
Take out the axle's, take them to pepboys or autozone and get the cheap axles and be on your way.
Yea they are cheap but they have a lifetime warranty. I havent ever had any problem with pepboy/autozone axles.
