Why no VTEC w/ VAFC II?

I know for a fact it's wired correctly but I can't seem to figure it out. It shows that XX-over @ the set RPM's & the light goes from green to red but the VTEC isn't engaging! The instruction are a bit confusing & I had a VAFC I before this one. On the version I you just hook it up & it works. But on the version II I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or, does this thing need to be programmed in some way to make the VTEC work? It has alot more features than the old one & would really like to use it but I can't quite figure it out. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I did set the eng point @ 3100 RPM's just to see if it would work but it didn't. Thanks anyway.

I might just put the VS I back in till I can make some sense of this thing!

after you do the intial setup your suposed take it for a quick run to engage the vtec so the vafc can learn the parameter of the factory settings. with out doing this it doesnt have the knowledge to correct it. intialize the settings, do the setup, do you tps test and your map test and then turn it off to store those settings then start it up take it for a run to engage the vtec then you can change the engagment points with the controller. (the lights change and the vafc show it engaging because its set in the controller but it doesent know where the ecu engages.

do you have the instructions or the installation manual. if so follow the setup procedures exactly (use the installation manual to figure out which vtec setup, tps voltage and cyl ect.) any questions let me know.

With my vafc hooked up to my gsr it would give a map cell and all the wires was hooked up right. So I took it off, but that was the older model one, I dont know about the new model.
