Default EP3 exhaust

Does anyone have a Apex N1 catback on their EP3? I was interested in trading in my Buddy Club Spec III since the damn thing almost got me a fix-it ticket and is a major cop-caller.

N1s are notoriously loud on all other Hondas. I don't think it would be much different on an EP3. You might want to try the Evo or apex ws (if they have that for EP3).

You also might want to try the Skunk 2 cat back. I have it on my integra and it is not as loud as alot of the cat back systems my friends have. I know they make it for the Ep3.

n1's are loud man. you might as well keep your spec III if you're thinking about the n1.

if you like the look, then get the hks hiper.

I keep hearing Greddy Evo has the best "not-so-loud" noise and it's carb legal.

i Love my neuspeed dual tips. Its throaty but not loud at all. Gives a nice deep tone. Then again its totally different in design then what you are probably looking for

I have the Apex'i N1 for my EP and it sounds great. It is NOT very loud unless your on it hard. It is very comfortable at highway or interstate speeds. Besides it has a silencer so if you want it really quiet, slap it in there. I would highly recommend it to you. And it looks great also.

or you could just spend $60 at the local muffler shop for a crush bent, straight B-pipe and pick up the same HP a $600 cat-back will offer.....

I have to agree with him. Our stock muffler has been dynoed and proved itself to be high flowing.

So the stock muffler on ep's is considered highflow? How about the base rsx? If i can get the same hp for 60 bucks i'm all over it. When you do that though does it change your sound at all?

I dunno how the stock mufflers compare between the Type-R (EP3) and your Si. Just out of interest one of our tuners was running a stock backbox on a custom middpipe (60mm i think) at just over 300 bhp (JRSC, Header, GruppM, K-Pro), I think he only had to change it when he hit 310.

Hows about the BC spec IV?

The Si axle back and the CTR axle back are the same.

The Pro Spec is the same as the Spec III. The BC exhaust is the loudest among Spoon N1 or Apexi N1.

depends on application 2.25-2.5 is good for NA, boost will need larger

a aftermarket cat-back on an EP3 is purely for bling, not for power.

I don't know, my Apex'i gave me a very noticable power gain through out the whole rpm range. The exhaust piping is double the size from stock. I was shocked at the difference. The only other mod I have is cold air intake, it does the job for me. It was worth the money.

it probably did work,

all he is saying is you could have got the same results with a crush bent custom 60 dollar piping setup at a local muffler shop.
