Skunk2 did a great job with the RSX, but i'm still not that impressed. Specially when the old all motor record was set by Ericks Racing on a 2.0L B-Series motor. (9.99 @ 133.95mph)
I'm hoping it's just the case of working out their setup and unlocking the potential of the K20. I'm thinking they're probably having traction issues and we'll see those times go down even further as the season progresses.

That makes no sense?

Yeah I would have to think it is definitely traction holding them back. I mean the skunk2 car is pulling 6-7mph more than the Ericks Racing car.

WTH? Its trapping much higher speeds and broke the old ET. Not to mention it didnt take 10 years of developement (like b-series) to do so.

You're right about the higher trap speeds, and that's the point i was trying to make. They should have better ET's but i'm thinking they're having traction issues off the launch. (Being that it's a new car and they're still working out their setup) Especially since they are uisng an RSX with a stiffer uni-body and the K20A as the motor, i was expecting better results than just a tenth of a second being taken off the old record. (Especially since the old record was set with a B-Series motor and an old chassis)
I wish you would understand where i was coming from when i made that statement instead of getting upset. I was just trying to be objective about the whole thing. I'm not trying to hate on what Skunk2's doing. I hope i clarified that for you.

pr0ns74r Have you seen the skunk2 rsx in action? It didn't look like they had traction problem at the launch to me. Just to let you know! The car only done 30 runs. You didn't see erick first come out hitting 9's! Got to give it time it's a new car, new motor, and a different driver (dr charles
). Still got bugs to work out with

You're exactly right. And that's what i've been trying to say. It's a new car and they're working out the right setup. Especially since every track is different and requires new car settings.

The car did well it hit consistent 9's till the last race when the competitor blew there motor, on the final run the rsx (dr. charles
) did a 10.10. I believe 4 out of 5 was consistent 9's. Pioneers with a k series to hit 9's all motor. H'mmm pretty damn impressive!

I'm on it, it seems that this guy took a video right by me. It's on page four toward the bottom. https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=4
