Finally after 8 years and 110k my 96 v6 auto accord needs more then just routine maintenance. The check engine light came on. Curuios if there is anyway I can determine what's causing this? (ECU codes, etc) I am thinking it could be a O2 sensor problem but before throwing parts at it I figured I would ask.


Any suggestions on manuals? I am pretty mechanically inclined just never had to do anything to the Honda.

 

Your car has a 150K mile, 14-year emissions warranty extension from the dealer. My suggestion is this: Take it to the dealer, let them fix it for free. You should get free spark plugs and plug wires out of the deal, too.
