Hey guys... I just installed Koni yellows in my gf 98 LS... The tech that did it said that I have to set the shocks at the stiffest level for a few days before I can start adjusting it... I guess for some kind "break in" period... Is this true? Because I feel every bump, and its hella bouncy, and very uncomfortable...

Also, if I set it softer or to the softness, will that make the ride a lot more comfortable? I never had adjustable shocks before... Any advice would be helpful... Thanks... !!!

 

of course when they are set softer its a more comfortable ride. I have never heard of putting on the stiffest setting though for break in. Well I have the TEIN Flex type coilovers w/ EDFC. So I just adjust settings to road cond.

 

i dont like them all the way on stiff, makes me gotta poop! .....i never heard of a "break in" period for those though....right after i installed mine, i just set mine to whatever i thought was comfortable to me, which would happen to be in the middle......i read all the directions that came w/them since i was doing it myself and i dont remember reading anything like that.

 

Yea, thats what I thought... I went ahead...and turned it all the way to the softest, and adjusted towards the harder about 180 degrees...test drove it and its so much better now... Anyhow its for my gf... so if she still thinks its uncomfortable, then i guess i can adjust it to the softest... Thanks for your replies....

 

break in my ***. there gas, not oil so i dont think u gota worry bout that. lol, i actually dont even think that makes a difference if there gas or oil. lol, for break in periods i mean
