Havent seen anything around that has anything specifically to do with this, but making new seat mounts would be easier than modifying the stockers... unless you want sliders.

You should be able to use your stock slider, so all you need to buy are the side mounts if your seat takes them. It wasn't too hard installing Sparco Pro 2000 in my eg hatch.

There's a lot of info if you search the racing forum using "seat bracket" or "seat side mounts" Dr. Cortez fabbed a real nice side mount.

Here's two that I like:

http://www.geocities.com/rineracing/sparco.html

http://homepage.mac.com/owen_t....html

To use your stock slider, you need to remove some brackets off your stock sliders so that you have a flat top surface. I used a big drill bit to break loose the spot welds holding the sliders. In the picture, where you see the silver circles are the spots that are spotwelded to hold the brackets. Just drill enough to break the spotwelds. there will also be a few bolts that you'll need to cut off. A hacksaw will do.

There's one bolt sticking out of the slider that you don't have to cut off and you can use that existing bolt to mount your seat.

Then reinstall the sliders back into your car. Mount the sidemounts to the seat and then just lay the seat/sidemount assembly over your sliders. Mark where you want to drill holes through the sidemounts and slider and bolt them up.

You might have to switch your sidemounts left to right and have the bottom flange face outwards in order for the sidemounts to sit over your sliders.

Once you get started it won't be too hard to figure out. Just make sure you have a hacksaw, a drill with a decent size bit (3/8" is what I used). Plenty of high grade bolts and nuts.
