B18C swap into Y7 question...
Hi!
I'm planning to do a swap before the winter... The car is 1996 D16Y7 coupe... I know all the procedures and stuff cos H_T is very informative swap-related...
Now my plans are either B18C5 or B16A2 whichever I find in better condition...
The question is:
I see many people have problems with CEL's, sensors blablablaba... I do not plan to race my car, nor boost it... it will just be a daily driver combined with a B-power... in short, I want to introduce some fun into daily driving...
The fact is that my wife will also drive the car so I want this to be performace and reliability...
What do I need to pay extra caution to keep the known Honda reliability and still have some fun/performance???
I don't like CEL's and sensor failures...
So can it be done so the car is reliable like stock Si???
I am also going for a rear disk conversion so my swap is followed with a good breaks...
So is this possible or should I just sell the DX and get the stock Si...
This whole post is written because the car is in PERFECT condition... interior is like new and the exterior has only ONE 2inch scratch on the bumper... that's it...
Everything else is perfect... car has 85.000 miles and everything is top-notch...
That's why I would go for a quality swap rather than selling it and getting stock Si... I will never find Si which is in condition EVEN CLOSE to my punny DX...
Any recomendations are welcome...
Here are the pictures of the car if anyone wants to know why I don't wanna sell it...
