k20a3: Upgrade WHAT for higher revs?
retainers and valve springs definitely for the long term. everything else should be ok
you can get the ones that are used on the RSX-S/S2K for around 200 plus shipping, plus installation (which is kinduva pain). I can provide part #s if you want
or, what have some have done is pick up a used set of valve springs from an RSX-S that has upgraded to Toda kit

he's asking because 7700 is the rev limit on the Hondata reflash for EP3.
won't need oil squirters... but a few EP3 people have had problems with retainers breaking or a valve spring shifting out of place.

can the A3 even make decent torque that high? Wouldn't you need cams with a higher lift?
Regardless, a Type S head would definitely help the high end torque as the A3 has the econo-VTEC (same as the HX VTEC-E actually), and only on the intake. The Type S head has true VTEC on both intake and exhaust.

losses power pass or around 7700, no point in going higher unless boosted or a built A3 which i doubt cause nothing can go in our engines.
