it's better to tune after you get bolt on's.
if you tune before you get any bolt on's then it
when you get bolt on's your car won't be reaching it's full potential.
so just wait and tune when you get the bolt on's you want

Your definately going to need a tune with those cams. There very aggressive.

Also, do you realize that they benefit with a much higher compression then a stock GSR. Your overcamming your setup/car bigtime. You may want to look into what your doing more then you are.

What other supporting mods do you have with these cams? And what do you have for an engine management setup to tune with?

it won't run that crappy..just get an vtec controller and try to adjust the fuel the best you can until you could have a professional do it. cheapest and easiest way until you get all your mods.

Those cams aren't meant for a stock B18C1, or a slightly modified one with a stock compression. They thrive in high compression and high rpms (Neither are available with the stock GSR setup) A valvetrain upgrade and a raised redline is a must with these aggressive cams.

I have s2 valvetrain sitting at home, planning to get ferrea valve, and milling the head a little, just dont know how much i should mill yet, any advice on how much ot mill? I'm looking for a p28 with a obd2 to obd1 harness right now, tuning with hondata. I dont dont have any bolt-on done to the car except a aem cai, which will not help much. I was planning to just put the cams, valvetrain, vavles, and mill the head all at the sametime with the stock ecu, none tuned, i was wondering will it idle if i dont tune it or our it even runn right.

Cams and gears are usually saved for last of the bolt ons. Find out what your power goals, powerband are and then go from there. I/H/C/E and then get your cams. Then go get it tuned. As stated before stage 2 cams are overkill for your setup. You would be better off with Stage 1, ITR/CTR, Toda A cams.

I don't think your understanding the whole overcamming your engine. You won't see gains from these cams. Your going to see a potential loss of power.

You NEED more compression. Either by pistons/headgasket or some headwork. How much you should Mill? Im not sure but you could probably find out more in the all motor forum. You need to check out the team-integra.net articles and find out some more stuff about all motor setups. You'll learn a lot.

You need to atleast get Header, Cat and Exhaust so you can open things up a bit. With those cams grab a 2.5" setup from header back. Cam gears will help on the dyno to tune your powerband and some sort of engine management is needed to tune on the dyno. As far as idling problems, that depends on your tuner, he can tune that out. Drop in power without tuning, you won't see any with your stock GSR setup and you also will have idle problems most likely.

Please read up a bit before you do this performance mod.
