You definately heard wrong. These are fairly easy cams to tune. And very street freindly.

ok...i seriously dont know what this even has to do with anything we are discussing. i saw this post on another topic that has nothing to do with the topic. just because you think crower is responsible for your fucked up engine doesnt mean it is going to stop people from buying crower products.

how do you figure crower is responsible for the damage to that motor? care to share with me?

in one of your pictures, you show block with your cylinders numbered. do you even know what cylinders are which? you think 1 and 2 cylinders are on each side of the motor? damn, a little engine thoery 101 for you buddy. the cylinders are numbered in order from 1 to 4 from the timing belt side (front), not 2-4-3-1 or whatever like you show.

lame.

isnt 1-3-4-2 the firing order?...i guess he took that and just went left to right with it thinkin it was the numbers of the cylinders...if he doesnt even know the which cylinder is which then i dont think that crower is responsible for doin that to his motor

Skunk 2 cams are great!!

Crower guy...I seriously doubt the cams had anything to do with that...
1...it wasn't put together right
2...if it was the cams there would be 500 other people with the same problem
3...there was a screw loose between the gas pedal and the steering wheel
4...buy the right parts

thats ok.....I didnt even know they were called "cyliners" let alone be numbered that way.........

last time I checked, a valve adjustment was needed when you install cams.......If Im not mistaken, It looks like the retainer broke.......It could have broke due to misshirft or over rev, but I think it broke becuase he just put them in and drove....just my $0.02....could be wrong

Maybe a misshift or over-rev... you just explained it right there, you all but admitted that it was driver error that caused this problem!

The skunk2 stage 2's are a really good cam, but they are not made to run with stock compression.

PM h-tech user "GSRev". He's had everything from broken cams to broken valve problems from Crower. Destroyed two motors using crower cams/valve train. When he had the lobes on the cam mic'd, he noted huge variances from the advertised specs. Their quality control sucks. You get what you pay for. Honda didn't skimp on parts they use to build reliable motors. . . . if you expect reliability do the same!

Only problem I have seen is the vtec crossover is hard to get the dip out of becaus the primaries are small . They do make good top in power and they idle like stock . Overall decent cam . Oh and I have heard of all makes of cams having a problem at one time or another so all aftermarket cams add more stress to an engine and may break something .

12.1 will fit these nicely, but even JDM ITR 11.1 compression is nice with a thinner headgasket for at least 11.3/4

Another cam you can compare the skunk2 stage 2 cam to is the Blox stage 2

I have dyno'ed both cams and have had great results with either one....you can't go wrong with these two cams.
