Default Hydro vs. regular tranny?

Hi, again im new to cars and honda's. I was gonna get a b16a swap w/ a 5 spd manual hydro manual transmission, and i was wondering 2 things..
1. What is the difference in operation and performance between a regular transmission and a hydraulic?
2. How difficult would the swap be from my car w/ a regular 5 spd manual tranny?
