B Series Shiftlinkage Questions
Well, I plan on cutting and welding my own shiftlinkage and I was wondering if someone could tell me how much im gonna need to cut off an OEM Shiftlinkage that came with a JDM B16A swap?
This is being swapping into an 89 CRX DX

Is it a CRX SiR B16A swap? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that you can use the SiR linkage unmodified. I think our intrepid moderater Vap is running this? I don't think the Integra one would work though.
Well, the swap is from a JDM CRX.. The block reads B16A. I ordered the shiftlinkage with the swap. Im gonna be swapping it all in tomorrow after work.. I hope they sent me the linkage to match my engine
depending on the mount kits I think it'll vary so its probably best if you get under there and measure for yourself. I have 91 teg shift linkage took 3 inches off the torque rod and 2.5 inches off the shift rod works great. But since its the jdm linkage made for the crx it might work as is like Mr.S said...

but is the best thing if u could score that one
less headaches like the hacking and measuring
I used a place racing linkage and works bomb

Just cut the long straight parts of each rod and fit the seperate parts on the car take your measurements and weld back together. I always scribe a line lenthwise on the rod that way I have a reference point to line up when I weld it back together. I remember it is 2.something inches. Just take your time, measure twice cut once.
I have the Arizone Race & Machine billet mounts in my CRX and I cut 2 1/4 inches out of a 91 integra linkage. Works perfectly. A lot of people are scared of cut/welded linkages but from what I've heard, that's all the hasport one is, just way more $$.

Thats exactly what the Hasport kit is, Joe from Hasport told me that, at the Runoffs 3yrs ago. He was telling me how coporate Honda called their local dealership, they get their linkages from, and was wondering what the deal is, why they were selling so many linkages? Are you replacing every linkage in every Integra that comes in that place?

does anyone know what an SiR linkage looks like? I can take a pic of it, im not sure if they sent me the matching linkage..
heres a pic of the Linkage they sent me sitting next to the linkage I used fo my zc... Which is the basic d series linkage

as you can see... The linkage they sent me is a good amount longer then my old dseries linkage.. Im guessin its from an Integra

I used the SiR shift linkage on my B16 crx and I have no problems.

No it has to be longer than the D shiftlinkage. When I put my b18 in I noticed the D linkage was too short plus I remember my teg linkage being a lot longer than the D linkage longer than the one in your picture try it without cutting I think it will work.
