What happens when you go beyond the speed your tire is speed rated?
Nothing will happen. Tire's speed rating are measured on a machine that spins them at a certain speed for 8 hours and if the tire withstands that without coming apart, it gets that speed rating. Just about any decent tire can withstand high speeds for a short amount of time but I'd be careful going on a 9 hour roadtrip at a 135...
Well this was about a minute but I get the point. I though the tire might blow out or something and fall apart right on the spot.....

Well there is always that potential, but again its not likely unless that speed is maintained for a while. Its also a liability thing for the tire companies. If their tire pulls apart when you're going faster then the rating, you're liable, not them
