Default Question for Sharkcohen

I have a 97 Prelude SH that im looking into gettng a roots style Jackson Racing Supercharger for my car. Is this worth it? I know that this is the best and easiest way to get more torque out of the H22a. I was actually forwarded to you from someone on this forum. he stated that you have this application installed on your car.......do you have any other mods that require the supercharger to work any better/more efficient? Is this something that I could do that would not affect the reliability of the engine? Any feedback would be appreciated

from what I've seen and experienced...to successfully and safely run the charger...you'll need a heckuva lot more tuneability than the JR ems that comes with the kit. The most successful jrsc setups run with the efi-pms, hondata, aem ems...a vafc at the very least for 6lb- but i have seen people run with just the stuff out of the JR box...you just have to retard timing a lot to be safe, which does sacrifice performance. But I am happy with the results from the blower. You're not capable of expanding to high amounts of power, but its defintely decent for daily driving, and the power on tap is quite instant
