need major help with fuel pump kill switch
i need help.... im in the middle of makin a kill switch and so far what i have done is: (this is an ef by the way) cut the black w/grey stripe(next to the yellow/black) hook up a switch and nothin happend?? so then i tried it on the yellow/black(power i believe) it started up and about 5seconds later it shut off (i thought this was good) so then i fliped the switch (on) and the moter would try to start but no fuel, flipped the switch again no fuel. I looked at the #2 fuse under dash(not blown), so i then just connected the yellow/black ends back together and the car will not start help
The yellow wire is the right one. It must be a problem with the switch itself or the wiring at the switch. Make sure you use a simple 2 prong 12VDC 25+ amp switch.
Not your switch because you connected the wires back together (no switch in the system) and still have problems.
No idea what the issue is. I would have thought it should have started right up.
Is the fuel pump priming when you turn the key to ON (not start)??

Start out by going through both fuse boxes and check all of your fuses. You probably blew one somewhere along the lines.
Also check for a direct short somewhere. If that black/yellow wire touched any ground when it had power to it then it will have blown a fuse for sure, so make sure you taped or heat shrinked that up.
I really doubt that you did any damage to your fuel pump, but you never know for sure without fully looking into it.
