Thanks for the this is just a very small selection of cars/members in our group.

The 'Honda Sports Car Club' was formed early last year (2000), in conjunction with Honda Australia....there is a club in most states of Australia. It was formed for just owners of S2K's, ITR's and NSX's and we (my club at least) get together on the last Sunday or weekend of each month....usually for a drive plus lunch somewhere.

In this instance - I had organised the weekend away for the members, most of whom came down from Sydney (which is about 2.5 hours drive away from Canberra).

Thanks dude....I appreciate the

I still wonder why the hell Honda (sorry Acura) does NOT import Red ITR's to the States....given the reaction I get to my example, they'd sell by the ship load!?

Firstly, thanks for the 'nice pics' compliment.

As for yet another negative Sun-roof on my ITR comment....all I can say is -
a) It's my car and I drive it daily....just look at my sig.
b) I really don't care, if others think it is 'bad form' for an ITR to have one.
c) It makes NO significant difference to the dynamics/weight of the car.
d) I'm getting soooooo bored of such comments.
e) We get waaaaay more sun and heat than you lot in the Iceland, so we actually get to use our Sun-Roofs.
f) I still use the 'R for Racing' aspect of the ITR - ie 'track' it....do you?

I might also add....that I like your mate's 'Live2Cruize' website - it is well put together & pretty cool (but has a very '*****' intro). But I will also comment, that I don't seem to see any pictures of your cars doing anything but 'posing' - ie none on a 'race track' or none of the WRX's on the dirt (where they belong!)....unlike pictures from my car club's website (refer to my sig)!?!?

Later....

whoa.. hold on there, I was NOT giving negative comments on the sunroof, maybe I should have put my quetion differently, all I was wondering if it was a factory option or not, or if u had more pics of it cause I found it interesting again, I did NOT mean to make it sound negative it looks very nice...

about that "posing", well we got ONE dragway (beleive it or not) and no track here in iceland we dont encourage streetracing so we dont take pics of such things so if we take pics there isnt any much then just posing. We took a road trip last summer and we didnt shoot any pics of it which we should have done but we are gona do it again next summer so hopefully u will see pics of our cars on the move. Maybe my friend should post his intensions but he is registered here on H-T also. I know u get way more sun then I do and I like to have a sunroof (I used to own a 00 VTi and the sunroof came in very good use during the summer )
I also am a very big fan of the "R" although I do not track it, it doesnt mean I wouldnt if I could...

I´m really really sorry if my question sounded negative or offensive, I didnt want to start on the wrong foot here.. u got a very sweet ride, raw and rare

Like "Integra Rated R" said there is only 1 dragway here in Iceland and it's very small and very badly kept and we do have pics from there, you would see them on the gatherings page.
As for the Race Track we don't have any and we don't encourage street racing.

As for the commment that the WRX belongs on the dirt, I'm so sorry but I would NEVER EVER put my precious car on a dirt track, not in my life, I have spent too much on my car to do something stupid like that.

But on the other hand if you or anyone else would lend me their car I'll give you some dirt road pics and movies

OK mate, no worries. My apologies, are also hereby rendered IRR But as you stated, I read your comment how it was typed (plus the crook symbol) and not how you actually meant it. I just had many other people in the past, 'truly' mean their negative comments on my ITR's sun-roof and I get a little 'touchy' now....again, I'm sorry.

To answer your question - my S/R was an 'after-market' option, offered by the dealer I bought my ITR from in Melbourne (Australia).

Sorry to read, that you don't have anymore than a single Drag-strip in Iceland and that I had a go at you for not tracking your R, when you really would like to! It soooo much fun and I hope one day you can experience the 'full' R, as Mr.Honda intended! I meant no offence to your friend (besides thinking the Intro was a bit 'over the top'); as I think his site is one of best personal auto-club sites I've seen.

I´m really really sorry if my question sounded negative or offensive, I didnt want to start on the wrong foot here.. u got a very sweet ride, raw and rare
to you my very Northern friend - thanks again for the compliments....your white ITR looks very sweeeeet also. I will try to post some more pictures soon, of both mine and other friends 'red' ITR's.

Cheers....

I did see the Drag pictures....they - like the others - were very nice indeed and I agree with you about 'street racing', it ain't a good idea.

As for the commment that the WRX belongs on the dirt, I'm so sorry but I would NEVER EVER put my precious car on a dirt track, not in my life, I have spent too much on my car to do something stupid like that. Fair point....I can't say I've seen many Australian WRX owners (there are many indeed, so many they are almost 'common') take their Rex on the dirt, as Mr.Suburu originally designed it for. Not to mention, most big 4WD's (Range Rover, BMW X5, Toyota Landcruiser etc) DON'T ever 'go dirt' either, as they were designed....people just like to tower over other drivers and want to feel safer!

When you manage to 'borrow' someone else's WRX, I look forward to the pictures/footage.

I don't know what the hell other peoples problem are about the sunroof because I think it looks really good on your car and if I had an ITR I would like it with a sunroof. Sweet car mate

The intro to the site was done just for the fun of it, just to be a little bit different

I think it's unfair that I don't have a track to play on I wish we had a track here in Iceland or a descent dragway. But the track would be my first option since it probably is way more fun that dragging.
Maybe I should move to Aussie, do you think they would take my car as luggage??? maybe I'll just book to seats tomorrow for me, my girlfriend and my car

Hey one question mate, isn't Aussie like Scooby Heaven ???

Yeah, there are bloody Scoobies everywhere....I can't escape them!! aaaaarrgh

Also, if you want to mod your WRX....there are heaps of places that make 'performance kits' etc - to release 250+ kW from your beast!! How does that sound for Scooby Heaven??

Try this weblink out....these guys produce some of the best after-market kits for WRX's - http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/wrx/wrx.htm

very sweet pics again

I have some question regarding the km´s on your car, are you still on your stock clutch? I think it´s time for me to change but the dealership say it should last way longer then 60,000 km which I am approaching so I dont know. And have you had any problems in the engine during those 90,000 km´s ? The reason I am asking this is because I intend to keep my car for years to come

again.. thanks for the friendly remarks

Funny you should ask about my clutch....as it 'gave up' around the end of October @ about 87,000 kms!!

Here's the full story, from another forum - http://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthrea...=indy+vacation

As for the engine - I have had NO problems what so ever and it hardly uses (maybe 1/4 litre) any oil between changes....usually only after a 'track day' OR a lot of sustained fast driving. I too don't plan on selling my ITR and will retain it in the future, to use as a 'track only' car....enabling me to do whatever I want performance wise.
