I have a 97 Civic Ex The auto tranny has gone out and I am replaceing it this weekend. I got a used one from a local Junk yard. It looks different than the one I have but I was told it should work

My car's VIN is 2HGEJ8644VH51667

The car the tranny came from is VIN 1HGEJ7224XL038299

It's a 99 with 1.6 SOHC VTEC

I was Told the 8 (6th #) in my VIN means mine is VTEC 1.6 as well

Can Anyone verify that this tranny will work in my car.
