Definitive Answer Needed: Driver's Axle With DOHC ZC Swap with ZC Tranny...
Yeah I searched and could not find this specific info, so can anyone tell me what the deal is?
A friend of mine just did the DOHC ZC swap with the ZC tranny w/intermediate shaft and he cannot get the 90-93 Integra axle to work properly. When he tightens the axle nut it is bidning the wheel.
So what sort of custom axle can be made to remedy this situation?

rumoured that you pull dust seals off of DA teg axles with ZC int shaft.
havent confirmed this yet though.

He tried that. He pulled the dust seal, and still no go.

I have a zc tranny/half shaft setup, I'm using the 90-93 integra drivers side shaft.. but when I bought mine I took a look at a few of them and they are all different lengths. I suggest you take it back to the parts store and compare several axles and pick out one that's a little shorter.
good luck!
P.S. make sure the dust seal he is pulling is on the axle

Are you sure they gave you right axles?
90~93 DA ones are the correct ones to have.
Longshot, but did you get axles for an ABS Integra?
If you did then maybe that's the problem. The joints on those might have a larger diameter CV joint than the non-ABS ones.
Cjeck it -
Jack the car up, remove the wheel on the side that the binding is happening on.
With the axle in and the axle nut on (but not tightened) , spin the hub and slowly tighten the axle nut until the binding starts to occur.
Put head in behind the knuckle and see if the CV joint of the axle is rubbing the knuckle.
