what's a good size TB for a b16a2?
sup guys
my friends got a 2000 civic si and already has all the bolt-ons - intake, header, exhaust
now he wants to replace the manifold to a skunk2 mani with a bigger TB.
whats a good size?
i suggested a RPM 70mm TB but would it be too big?
or should he just get an itr TB
btw - its basically a stock motor, other than the bolt ons i mentioned.
let me know by your recipes for power
thanks

airflow needs to go from small to big, what i mean is that the skunk2 IM inlet is like 64mm, so whatever throttlebody you get it needs to be 64mm or less, unless you bore open the inlet side of the IM to something bigger than 64mm.
i would say anything bigger than 64mm is overkill unless youre planning some major internal upgrades and over 220whp.

first off, the b16b has a 60mm t/b and it makes about 158whp stock and revs to 8600rpm. with that said, with what your friend has done to his motor, i think that it would be a waste of money. as for the s2 manifold, if your boy has stock cams, redline, headwork and displacement, then he'll lose power thru the entire powerband with the s2. the p30 intake kills the ITR intake manifold from 2000-8000rpm. actually, the s2 will probably peak 400rpm later and lose whp & wtq. its his choice though.
