timing a dohc zc??

Default timing a dohc zc??

whats the best timing i can do for my dohc zc?? im pretty sure its off

Why not check it first before doing any adjusting. Im assuming you are talking about ignition timing and if you are advancing it it shouldnt hurt things as long as you are on stock compression.

i dunno hpw to check, and i think its my timing, cause wen i press on gas, the revs is delayed like half a sec.

it is probley your timing same thing happened to me and i got it all adjusted but first i woudl try to advance trhe timing a little and see what happens good luck

spinngin the distributer towrd the front of the car...does that advance or retard the timing?

turn distributor clockwise to retard, counterclockwise to advance

First, pick up a timing light or find a friend with one. Hook it up and check your current timing to see if you need to advance or retard it. Also, if you advance too much, watch your plugs to see if your leaning out. White plugs = Lean, brown and gunky = Rich. Advance to lean, Retard to richen. - Darrell
