91 accord h22 swap
ok i have a 91 accord ex with 300 000 kms on it and its about to die, what i want to do is swap a h22 into it with a new tranny also, the body is kind of rusted and there work that needs to be done on stuff, is this a good idea or am i lookin at over 15 000 $ worth of parts and work here?

even in canadian money, what are u smokin to think anything would cost $15000, anyways, ill be nice and not tell you to search, an h22 swap would be a good idea and for the costs:
engine, tranny, ecu = $1950
downpipe = $50
clutch/flywheel(not needed but good idea to change while everything is out of the car) = $4-600
you use your accord mounts but the tranny has to be re-tapped
modifying accord harness w/ prelude harness = $125
you use same axles/int shaft
it would be a good idea to change timing belt, water pump, etc... = $not sure
and labor to install everything would be around $600-1000
also there are misc things that you have to do like tranny fluid, oil, oil filter, spark plugs, etc....also, if ur car is an auto then you will definately want to do a manual conversion which will be another $1000 approx
