Help on Installing a JDM 92/93 OBD1 B16A Integra XSi into a 1991 Civic
I search high and low but could not find the exact information regarding my 2nd Gen B16A Engine and YS1 Tranny setup. The closest I found was from droppedcrxsi's website.
Anyhow, here's what I'm working with: a 1992/1993 OBD1 JDM Integra XSi w/ YS1 Tranny and having approx 100,500kilos (I saw the speedo). This engine is 2nd Generation B16. The Engine Plugs are grey meaning they are OBD1, not OBD0. From searching on the web, it seems that 92+ b16a are 2nd generation and the 92/93 Integra XSi is no expection.
I’m currently trying to prep the engine before installed it. I have a couple of questions regarding the motor as welll as tranny since it is not like the usually 1st gen b16a obd0 swaps into an EF. I don't know if this will make a difference. I tried to search around but no one seem to know the answer to the following:
1. Which Drive belts do I use for the:
· Alternator
· Power Steering (I’m also converting from auto DX to manual)
· AC (planning to use the HASPORT AC)
I’ve read people say use the USDM 92/93 GSR B17 config; other say 94/95 B16 Honda Del sol. Someone even recommended I get a smaller belt to get the right clearance for the alternator? (GatorBack 4040300) And also Is this motor/tranny closer to the USDM 1992/1993 GSR Integra?
2. Which CV boot kit do I just?
The axles I got where from a clip JDM 1992/93 Integra Xsi? Should I just the USDM Integra 92/93GSR Axle CV boot kit, or just use the 90-93 integra LS/RS? Are they different?
3. The T-Belt/W-Pump/Tensioner: are the same for the B17 and B16 correct?
4. Can I use the USDM Integra 92/93 B17 Rotor and Distributor Cap or only the Honda Del Sol 1994/1995?
5. Should I change the VTech Gasket? Car has bout 100,500K/60,500 miles.
6. I know I need a throttle cable, but do I need the 92/93 GSR one or can I use the 90-93 Integra?
7. Which Clutch cable do I use? Or do I need one? I already got one from a Civic DX.
8. Which Clutch/flywheel/Pressure Plate should I use? more toward the 92/93 GSR or 90-93 LS/RS? Is this hard to change? What and where tools should I get? Web sites?
9. Does this engine have the extra Sensor on the Intake Manifold? IAB? Something like that. Does anyone have a pic of this? I heard that this GSR have the IAB Sensor. So I though that if the USDM 92/93 has this IAB then does my 92/93 Intake have this sensor too? Can one clarify this?
10. I'm also converting this car from a Auto to Manual. I got the shift linkage from Steve @ HMotorsOnline. I also got a energy suspension bushing kit for a 88-91 Civic. Will I need any of the following items:
a. Shift Linkage bushing if so, which car Integra, Civic, Del Sol and what year?
b. Pin Shift Linkage - which car Integra, Civic, Del Sol and what year?
c. What is the Shifter Stabolizer Bolt (95701-080818-08) Shifter stabolizer washers A and B (54305-SA0-000)
d. What is including in the Energy Suspension Shifter Kit (16.1101G - 94 DelSol) - Can I just my current one from the engergy kit? Will it fit?
11. Any othe parts I should change?
Well, that’s it. I know it is a lot of questions. Thanks in advance to whom ever can help.
Best regards

1. I have never looked into the exact drive belts to use. But they should be the same as for the 1992-1993 GSR. Just keep in mind that the A/C belt will probably be different since you are using a different compressor and bracket (compared to stock). Also, I know some older B16A motors use a V-belt for this while others use a serpentine belt. Regardless, you can always buy a belt at an auto parts store and exchange it if it does not fit.
2. The 1990-1993 boots are all the same.
3. They should be the same since both motors use the same block.
4. Both caps should be the same. It is the pre-1992 stuff that is different.
5. If it would make you feel better. Otheriwse, check to see if it leaks and change it if it does.
6. All 1990-1993 Integra throttle cables are the same.
7. You can use your stock cable. Just make sure you bring it through the transmission bracket before you bolt the bracket to the transmission.
8. Use the 1992-1993 clutch kit. The 1992-1993 transmission spline is larger. Make sure the clutch plate fits the spline well when you buy the kit to see that you got the right one.
9. The IAB refers to the secondary butterfly valves on the 1994-2001 two stage GSR intake manifold. The 1992-1993 GSR does not use a two stage intake manifold. So there is no IAB to worry about.
10. All shift linkage parts should be 1990-1993 Integra. The only possible exceptions are the rubber bushing by the lever and the lever itself.
11. That pretty much covers the basic stuff. You can change more if your budget allows.

Thanks for the Info...that was quick.
8. Speaking of the clutch kit, this YS1 cable tranny. So I still use the any 92/93 integra clutch kit? Can you recommend one? I heard clutchmaster stage 2 is good. Any comments?
