Default Stroking for NA build up

Anyone have any info on a NA build for the S2000 motor? I'm curious as to whether the H series components will work with the F20C motor.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

nothing special here or different than any other NA build up. I don't know if any H series or other internals of other series will work.

I am sure it will not work.

I remember awhile back.. there was a thread about F20C pistons working in a H22 block... They're the same size pistons (87mm) so.. I was just wondering if the crank would possibly work.. since it had a longer stroke.. would have been a good option for stroking.. I know Toda has a stroker kit for this motor, but is there a less expensive option?

As one is chain drive cams and one is belt drive I'd put good money on it that they won't work. Length of the crank's "snout" will be different.

aside from that, the chances of bearing diameters/widths even being close is near zilch.

anything like JDM CTR pistons but like JDM F20C pistons? how much would that boost CR?

I don't understand that question. There are JDM F20C pistons. I don't know for sure if they differ from the USDM or not (the CR is different but I don't know if it is the gasket or the pistons). Both are forged, by the way. I think the JDM F20C's CR is 11.7:1, but don't forget they have 98 octane at the pump in Japan.

Also, I don't think that the H22's internals will work in a F20C. The pistons may, but the F20C's internals are fully forged and thus stronger and lighter than the H22's. If what you want is a 2.2L motor, use the F22C's internals. Putting cast H22 pistons in a F20C would probably necessitate a lowered redline as you are adding significant weight to the outer rotating mass. The F20C's pisons are short-skirted, the H series have big skirts and with that and the fact they are cast and not forged would add lots of weight.

While the F20C is BASED on the F20B which is very similar to the H series, the F20C is almost completely different than the F20B that they are more different than similar.

I think the distance between bearings in the F20C is shorter; if so, then the crank will NEVER work. When making the F20C, Honda made that motor as compact as possible. You can look between the bores and see there is NO room to overbore at all, at least no more than the thousandths needed for a rebuild. The block is also a bit different, too. I'd say the K-series block is more similar to the F20C than the F20B's is actually.
