Not exactly the answer you want, but I know it won't work the other way around. I tried fitting the clear EF9 Civic SiR bumper wraparounds into an EF8 CRX SiR bumper and they were a little too tall (maybe 1/2 inch or so). So, it probably will work this way, but with more of a gap.

So what is the problem, I hear the civic ones are an 1/2inch thicker so in theory the CRX ones would fit and have a small 1/4" gap right?
