Default b16 sir2 in an EF

I have searched but havnt found my answer. Is there any difference in this swap compared to the sir1 which i usually see in this forum. The engine i found is a sir2 with a GSR tranny and everything else I need like ECU, axles, etc. Also is there anything special I will need for this swap in an 89 civic hatchback std.

I might be wrong...but Im pretty sure the SIR2 is the B16 found in the obd2 99 SI coupe. The GSR tranny would be hydroulic, and we have cables...if this is the case youll need to swap over your wiring, and get a cable>hydro conversion kit for your swap.

You need to get ready to wire up for a obd1 set up and hydraulic tranny if it is a 1994 and above gsr tranny. It would be safe to say to get a N02 sensor.

I did a USDM Del Sol VTEC, which is pretty much the same thing as the SIRII. Besides the wiring, there is not much that is too different:

1. Change the driver's side bracket to a 1G B16A or 1990-1993 Integra bracket.

2. If you will use a cable transmission, use a 1G JDM B16A or 1990-1993 Integra rear transmission mount.

3. If you use a cable transmission, make sure to get a pre-1992 clutch disk.

You may want to try to get a JDM 1992/1993 Integra XSi B16A. I got mind from Steve at Hmotorsonline. I currently have this setup, and it perfect setup for an EF that wants a second gen engine, with cable tranny, and OBD1.

Of course, I'm still working on it. haha

Best regards,
b

So what would you guys recomend, get a sir-1 with all the stuff from hmotors for around $2100 counting the shift linkage, hasport motor mounts, and shipping, or get a sir-2 i found locally from someone with everything for 1800 and swapping in 89 civic hatch std.
