Why do you want to put a blank one in?

take armrest off hinge.
underside of the armrest you will find like 4 screws
unbolt, take plastic panel off.
you will find two posts that originate from the badge. there are these small metal lock washers that are on these two posts. take a needle nose and carefully remove them.

badge is then off.

Needle nose? I tried that. I couldn't take the metal lock washers off without bending them. Did you bend yours?

I did but then my center console would be JDM and the rest of my car would be USDM. I like ot keep the two seperate for personal reasons....I'm not talking down to anyone who like to mix the two styles. JDM is still in my book.

I think it's silly. If they steal your car, why would you want to still have the badge?

They could steal the interior, armrest, maybe just the badge.

I think we can agree that PLENTY of ITR owners have had the interior stolen and no longer have the badge.

Its a way to keep the # forever known and safe, give it to the next owner if you sell it, or keep it forever. Its not that silly, too bad closed minds dont come with closed mouths.

Who the heck is going to steal just the badge? The badge itself is worthless. Of course, we all know that they NEVER steal just the badge. That's just another one of your ridiculous wild-*** claims. You're becoming quite the expert in that.

No, not that often. Usually it's not just the interior - the whole car gets stolen. And even the few times when the interior is stolen, usually the whole car is stripped, and more often than not, it's totalled - which means if you held onto the badge it's worthless, because you're not keeping the car. Doesn't make sense.

Too bad SOME PEOPLE come here just to flame instead of having reasonable discussions, never contribute any content to the discussion, never help anyone with technical information, and just flame flame flame, turning any discussion into a flame war that will eventually be shut down by the moderators.

You have no method to judge what someone might or might not steal. It has nothing to do with anything that I've previously said, and you know it is a possibility. You need to grow up.

I said HELD ON TO IF YOU KEPT THE CAR NOT held on to after selling or getting rid of the car. Reading is a skill. Jesus christ I would have thought that on an online forum where the only form of communication was through reading and writing that would be clearly established. And there have been plenty of members who have had their interior parts taken from them, any claim of denial is just plain old fashioned stupid, and you're dropping pretty low by completely deyning it.

I dont just come here to flame, and any claim to the contrary is a complete an utter lie. I think its funny how you are doing the exact same thing that you claim that I do. In fact I've talked with other members who say the same thing about you.

If you notice you started the flaming here. Instead of taking any point seriously you just flat out lie and deny it. MANY PEOPLE HERE HAVE HAD THEIR INTERIOR TAKEN. THAT WAS MY POINT. Somehow you failed to see this and went on a flame rampage containing a lot of denial and bullshit. Very immature.

I have help multiple times from him.. as well as you. You are contributing to the fire just as much, if not more than he.

chill out, sweep it under the rug, let it go.

...it's just the internet

Well, let's see if that is true. Let's see whether you post any helpful technical information, or just flames and profanity, all day long, all over h-t.com We can do that by looking at your posts just from today, all your posts for a typical day, and see what you've posted. Let's see if we find flames, or useful information.

1. This one above is where you started this flame discussion, with your insult about "closed minds". No one insulted you; you just decided to start the flame war.

2. Here you use the word F**K and flame Genius B16A about how his "sorry existance for a 'good life' is just a waste of natural resources". Nice.

3. Here you flame .RJ and tell him to "grow up" (your favorite phrase).

4. Here you use the word F**KS.

5. Here you use the word S**T.

6. Here you manage to combine your two favorites - foul language and your favorite phrase ("grow up") - at the same time, by telling yet another person to "grow the F**K up". Also used the word A******S.

7. Here you use the word S**T.

And that's just today's posts. Which proves that all you're posting are flames (to four different people in four separate topics, including your favorite flame, "grow up") and profanity.

Now let's look at how much real helpful content you post. Let's take a look at how often you use some terms having to do with cars. This will give us an idea of how much you're talking about cars and helping people instead of flaming them. And for this, we can look at all your posts. Let's see what we find:

Total posts: 2776
Posts (recent and archived) that include the word "pads": 0
Posts (recent and archived) that include the word "tires": 1

Not much help there. Not much help at all.

Your posts speak for themselves. You use a lot of profanity while accusing everyone else of being immature and telling them to "grow up". Like flames and profanity are supposed to be an example of maturity? And you never post anything that would help anyone with their cars. The posts are all there for everyone to see. And your posts disprove your phony denial.

Sh*t,

did someone say F*ckin Birthday cake?

BTW, I don't ever want to "Grow Up", I'm still a ToyZ-R-us kid.

PS, I just ripped my badge off of the totalled R. It's almost a meaningless badge anyway, but I kept it as a momento. Sheet, I even gave my shift **** to my buddy that added it nicely to his WRX.

Anton, are you going to make that cake for our BBQ tomorrow? Heck, how many people besides you know how to make a cake for 500 people? Although I don't think quite that many will show up.

(Removing a badge after a car is totalled as a keepsake is very different from doing it when the car is still intact...)
